I got a letter from a friend in the post, and it's in these moments I'm reminded of how much I love what I do.
I first met Ben Akers about 5 years ago, I pretty much stalked him into meeting me for a chat! Back then I didn't know anyone that was committed to using their skills for good. I know loads more now, so Ben was my gateway drug.
So much of what we do focusses on the end result - an amazing animation or film for example - but the process can be rewarding too.
In this case getting to know Paul (the subject of an animation I made that appeared in Ben's documentary 'Steve' about male suicide) and sharing our own mental health experiences, was incredibly powerful, and an experience I'll always remember fondly.
I'm very proud of the work I did with Ben and Paul and I'm very grateful for meeting Ben all those years ago. Haven't we come a long way?!
Here endeth the love-in 💚😊💚
Thanks for reading,
