What is the cost of politics?

We were thrilled to work with the wonderful WFD again, this time to create an animation to explain what the cost of politics is and why it matters. WFD, in collaboration with local researchers, has produced reports from over 40 countries examining how much it costs an individual to get nominated, campaign for election and be in office. The stats are staggering and it was important to get some of these across in a clear and compelling way.

The art direction was purposely simple as the concepts and messaging are quite complex - so we wanted to illustrate the script in a way that would be easy to understand for everyone, including non-native English speakers. The line drawings create transitions between scenes and give the piece a pleasing flow.
