Having just been through a brand refresh, Macmillan asked us to bring some of their existing animations in line with the new guidelines and to give them a creative overhaul. We took what they had done in the past and re-storyboarded everything, creating new assets where necessary and consulting with brand at every stage.
The main animation, ‘What is cancer?’, was translated into 16 other languages ranging from Urdu to Bengali and Welsh. It was a large production job, liaising with a translation agency and client to get every transcription and voiceover recording approved – as well as re-timing every version to fit with the various different languages (for example, Welsh is significantly longer than English!)
We also produced two more easily digestible animations explaining how PICC lines and central lines are put in, so that patients would know what to expect before these procedures take place.
In a recent email, our client at Macmillan said, ‘We enjoyed working with you and the team so much in 2022 that we wanted to reach out to you to explore the revision of another animation’. We’ve worked with Macmillan several times over the last five years and are looking forward to collaborating with them again soon!
